What Is The Best Way To Keep More Of My Income From Being Taxed?

Hi Larry I have funds in and IRA that were put in pre taxed. When I take them out they are considered taxable income. I have to claim my social security and this puts me owing taxes on the money I took out and some of my social security. I was born in 1952 and will soon have to take a required distribution amount. What is the best way to keep more of my income from being taxed?

When Are We Going To Get Our Raise On Social Security?

When are we going to get our raise on Social security,?Will we get any back pay?

Hi. I don't know what kind of raise you're referring to. The only type of across the board increases in benefits that Social Security makes are cost of living (COLA) increases, which occur in January of most years. There's normally no back pay involved in those COLAs. If you've heard some rumor about Social Security raising benefit rates across the board because of COVID, there's no truth to those rumors.

Why Doesn't My Social Security Statement Come Up?

My wife just turned 65 (yesterday) and has applied for social security and I also applied for spousal benefits off of her. I just logged into my account and see that "Your Social Security Statement" does not come up. I am planning to let my benefits ride until I turn 70. So why cant I see the total month to month any more. The last one that I had printed was from Feb of this year. I searched all over the SS website for that total and cant seem to find it. Can you help me?

Thanks

John
