How Do I Change The Account Where My Checks Are Deposited?

How do I go about having my social security check sent to my checking account instead of our joint checking account. I have had 3 strokes and I need to be in control of my own money. Please don’t call the phone number I have listed. My husband is always around. Thank you so much.

Hi. You may be able to change your direct deposit information online at: https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/direct-deposit.html. Otherwise, your best option would be to call Social Security at 800-772-1213.

Did I Provide Some Incorrect Information When Using Your Software?

Just purchased your software. One question - I see on my report with both my wife and I doing the mazimized strategy is is showing I get RETIREMENT BENEFITS and my wife gets BOTH RETIREMENT *and* SPOUSAL BENEFITS. I didn't think that someone can receive both?? Is this true, or did I provide some wrong information somewhere along the line?? Thank you!

Can I Switch From SSDI And DWB benefits To RIB And WIB Benefits?

Hi, I collect SSDI and DWB concurrently. Can I switch to RIB and WIB and collect both concurrently? Thanks

Hi. If you're between age 62 and full retirement age (FRA), you could switch to drawing Social Security retirement (RIB) benefits instead of Social Security disability (SSDI), but then your benefit rate would be reduced for age. SSDI benefits aren't reduced for age, and are calculated at 100% of your primary insurance amount (PIA). If you start drawing RIB prior to FRA, you'd be paid less than your PIA.

Am I Correct That My Mother Isn't Getting Her Correct Amount?

I read that in 1983 President Reagan changed the method of computing survivir benefits, but my mother, born in 1928 would be grandfathered. My late father received just over $400 and my mom gets about $700. She gets only $7 from my fathers account, so I do not think they grandfathered her. Everyone at SS doesn't know anything about what Reagan did. Am I correct that she is not getting her correct amount?
