How can Gina find out John's PIA in order to make some decisions on claiming options before she turns 62? Your Maximize My Social Security software would not be helpful without John's PIA, would it?

Why am I receiving a questionnaire (Form SSA-L9781-SM (7-2021)) in paper form, and why isn't there an alternative (web link) where I can respond electronically?

On the surface it seem a waste of resources, but what is troubling me is that the letter states that I will earn $11,000 annually more than my SSA is paying; I never told anyone that I was going to work anywhere (I may have asked how much I could earn). It's trivial, but the return postage is on me (job security for the postal service if all 50,000,000 of us send that back in snail mail.)

Hi. As it's title implies, form SSA-795 (https://www.ssa.gov/forms/ssa-795.pdf) a statement of a claimant for benefits or another person. The form is used for many different purposes, and the person who needs to sign the form depends on why the form is needed. Basically, though, it's just a blank form that can be used by anyone who needs to submit a statement to Social Security.

Only people who have worked and paid into Social Security long enough to be insured for benefits, or people who are eligible for auxiliary (e.g. spouse, child) benefits on the record of an insured worker, can qualify for Social Security benefits.

Hi Larry, I took the spousal benefit last summer as I was born in July of 53 and my husband is retired. I am still working as a PT. I looked on the SS site to see what my full benefit would be at age 70 but this comes up: "We cannot provide you estimates because you are already receiving Social Security benefits." This is aggravating as I would like to know what my estimated benefit will be at age 70 based on MY earnings. Does this require a call to SS? Thanks.

Is FRA for widows benefits different than FRA for SS? I believe that I read this in SSA web site under widows benefits for someone born in 1955 that FRA for widows benefits is 66 and for SS is 66 & 2 months.

Hi! My 15 month old son with cerebral palsy receives monthly SSI benefits. We are a family of 5 and rely solely on my husband’s income. We are eligible for SNAP benefits, but at our recent re-evaluation they told us we were no longer approved due to our monthly income - my husband’s gross income of $2880 & my son’s SSI benefit of $894. There are two separate charts for being eligible - gross income standard and gross income standard for those over 60 or with a disability.

I have been received social security disability for about a year. I have also received widows benefits from my deceased wife. In August I applied for retirement benefits. It was approved in November. For some reason my survivor's benefits cut off and I did not receive a check in December 2021 nor January 2022. Why was the suvivor's benefits cut off?
