What Happens At FRA If A Person Is Receiving Both SSDI And CDB Benefits?

What happens at Full Retirement Age (FRA)

If you are on SSDI and reach your FRA, I understand that your SSDI benefits will automatically convert to Retirement Benefits.

What is the case when someone is on concurrent benefits both SSDI (on their own work record) and also on Childhood Disability Benefits (CDB) when they reach their FRA?

How Can One Combine Social Security Wages Earned Under An ITIN With Earnings Under An SSN?

How can one combine the social security wages from the ITIN to the social security number to qualify to receive social security benefits with enough credits under the social security number. I have worked over 10 years under my ITIN number and my social security number for two years.

Is The Rumor I Heard True?

I heard a rumor that in 2021, Soc. Sec. passed something that would pay $100 more per month for Survivor's Benefits; I assume retroactively but have no idea. Do you know anything about something like this? In the current economic situation, it sure would be nice!
Thank you for your reply!

Hi. No. All Social Security benefits were increased by 5.9% this year due to a cost of living (COLA) increase, but aside from that there was no across the board change in survivor benefit rates.

Best, Jerry

If My Wife Is In The U.S. Illegally Will She Be Able To Get My Social Security Benefits When I Die?

Hello sir I hope you can clarify: I am a citizen of the U.S and married a Brazilian non citizen who lives in the U.S illegally. She was brought here by her mother who never applied for her to become a citizen. In Newyork she is covered by my health benefits. However when I die will she get my social security benefits? I would like to make her a citizen but have been told she would have to return to her country and apply from there.

Does Social Security's Online Calculator Include Any COLA's?

Hello! So I’ve been spending hours on top of hours researching how SS calculates, determines, and accounts for creating a “ benefit” to members of the system. Here is what is still confounding me ( in any order):

1. In using the online statement SS provides question number on is this: Does SS, if I were to run an estimate by using their calculator include ANY COLA in the little adjustable sample calculator that they provide when you set up a mysocialsecurity account ( I am aware that they only account for COLA(s) from age 61.
