If I started receiving my social security in 1992. Will I still get my check on the 3rd of each month

i HAVE BEEN GETTING MY CHECKS ON THE 2nd OF THE MONTH FOR ABOUT 11 yrs. WHY ARE THEY CHANGING THE DATE? LIKE MOST I LIVE CHECK TO CHECK. MY RENT IS DUE ON THE 1st OF THE MONTH. MY LAND LORD HAS BEEN OK WITH GETTING IT LATE BY ONE DAY. I DOUBT THEY WILL FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS. JIM

For the last 3 months I have been receiving my SS check on the 2nd Monday, instead of the 2nd Wednesday, which is my usual day. Have not received it today, the Monday when I expected, as past 3 months.

Hi. If you were paid your regular monthly benefit payment on November 5th that's very unusual. You'll probably have to contact Social Security to get an explanation.

I retired on October 29. On October 29 I got a letter telling me how much money I would get in December for the month of November. When I look on the Social Security website it tells me that my payment schedule a zero. Is that taking into account for the month of November? I would assume I should be OK for December

Hi. I'm sorry, but I can't even give you an educated guess without much more information. Many different circumstances can result in either a one-time or permanent change in a person's payment date, so unless Social Security mails you an explanation you might want to call them.

Hi. I assume you mean that you've filed for survivor benefits on the record of a deceased spouse. If your spouse was born on the 9th of a month and assuming that you aren't also drawing benefits on your own account, your survivor benefits should be paid on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

I am 64, turning 65 in March 2022. My FRA is 66.5. I am retiring Dec 31, 2021, (age 64.75) and want to receive my first SS payment in Jan 2022. I have two questions: 1. when I apply for SS, what month should I indicate that I want to start receiving my payments? (Dec 2021 so I get a check in January? Thanks for everything you do. I received SS survivor benefits on my late husband's account for four years. His birthday was 7/4 and the payment date was the second Wednesday of each month. Last year, at age 70, I started getting SS on my own account and my birthday is 6/21. The payment date never changed. I really don't care either way. Do I have to do anything?
