I'm currently receiving both Snap,social security and SSI. I use this income for monthly rent and food. Last year I was in a car accident and lawsuit was filed due to injury etc. This year they finally settled and giving me 20,000 or so but still need to deduct medical / attorney's fees. However I owe money to my mom fully for helping me with other bills my monthly check didn't cover and clothing etc.

My husband is 66, will be 67 in December. I will turn 62 in November and plan to retire in January, 2018. I will draw my benefit, my husband will dras spousal benefit until he reaches 70 and then start to collect his own. Question is, will his benefit be reduced or affected for the three years he draws spousal benefit?

No, drawing spousal benefits prior to filing on his own record at age 70 will have no adverse affect on your husband's benefit rate.

Would Social Security be able to tell me, who has more earned work credits( my deceased father or mother) for SSDI? I have been disabled since birth and have been drawing off my own earnings, SSI and my later father's. My mom passed in 1999 and my dad in 1994. She worked longer than my dad. I don't have my late mom's SSN.

Will the foodstamp office be able to see my kids auxillary benefits that they recieve through me from my SSDI once I apply for foodstamps. And will that affect the amount we will recieve from foodstamps and SSDI.

I'm not an expert on the food stamp program, so I can't fully answer your question. I do know that your children's Social Security benefits have no effect on your Social Security disability (SSDI) benefit rate, nor would your SSDI benefits be affected by the receipt of food stamps.

I'm being permitted to recover ex-spousal benefits for Feb thru May of 2017, but I would like SS to pay longer retroactively. The website that you provided to establish misinformation (from SS) is no longer working. (I haven't checked yet whether the website you provided regarding filing an appeal still works.) husband died 2 yrs ago 2 weeks after a 3 yr battle for ssdi benefits.. a check for 22k back pay arrived the day after he died. I returned the check to ss because it was made out to him in his name only. ss then sent me a check for 19k, less 3k for his attorney fees. From that point ss says i am now collecting his ss benefits. However, i work full time and make over 4k a month so i dont get a cent, but none the less i am deemed to be collecting his benefits.

My husband receive his June 2017 payment July 3, 2017. We have been told by SS Agents that he will receive $9000.00 in back pay. My husband died, July 6, 2017 and now I am being told his back payment will not be given to his family because of his death. Is this true? My husband was approved for these back payments, I would believe they should due to the fact he was awarded his award letter. Please let me know how to proceed. Thank you very much.

Larry my husband and I just changed our direct deposit we have a net spend credit card my August check was putting and I received my money, I was just checking my acc in line now it says I don't get ss no longer I don't know what is going on.
