Condition: Active, open Missing Person case investigation. Male missing under suspicious circumstances. NO body found. Ex girlfriend of missing male and missing male have one child according to child's birth certificate. Ex GF has not/will not allow paternity test. Ex girlfriend is receiving SS checks alleging missing male committed suicide (no evidence of this). Is this legal?

I am a 41 year old stay-at-home-mom, widowed 11 years, and currently receive child-in-care benefits. My 12 year old also receives equal benefits. My fiancee and I share a 4 year old biological child. He and I have been contemplating marriage for quite some time. I have been researching our options, but remain unsure and confused and have received multiple inaccurate answers from our local Social Security office. From what I gathered, I realize that I will lose my benefit if we marry now.

A NY Judge has approved an Income Execution Order to collect on my ex-husband's Social Security benefits. We had a process server deliver to the Field Office and they eventually told me that they threw it away because the Process Server was a third party. We are now mailing to both offices in our city awaiting their response. BTW, they only told me they most likely threw it away after numerous phone inquiries with them and the 1-800 number. If you were on total disability at age 60 and am currently age 66. Can you work part time? My ssdi went to ssi at age 65.
It is part time work 10-15 hours. Just not sure if I will get penalized. I will be 67 in October. I had a BMT and had issues with CGVHD and currently removed from all medicines as of today. I just don't want my SSI to drop.

My grandfather passed away on August 31st. He received his benefit on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. My grandmother receives spousal benefits. Can social security rescind his August benefits (or a portion of them) because he didn't make it until the third Wednesday of September?

My wife and I are 64. We are both Naturalized US citizens having emigrated from the UK to the USA around 8 years ago. We were both retired when we moved so neither of us have any SS work credits. I am considering taking a position with my son's US business which would mean I would start paying FICA taxes and accruing credits. If I work until I am at least 74 and earn the necessary 40 work credits will this make my wife and I eligible for SS and Medicare when I reach 74? Can I still apply for SS and Medicare at the age of 74 or will I have missed the enrollment window?
