Can You Help Me?

I NEED HELP! I was born and raised in Atlanta,GA & have always lived w my ,mother ( I'm 47)
I have been on ssdi for over 15yrs for agoraphobia, ptsd, anxiety, and & chronic pain)
The relationship w my mom and I has not been so great the last few yrs.
Last yr, I began a very strong procedures for pain. She began house hunting for mths pre retirement, in her price range...her dream. This house she ended up looking on her own, I was sick. She called and said she had bought it, I don't like being so far away from my drs, familiarity. I can't say anything without setting her off. My self esteem and dignity was bad enough and working on it, now there is none. I want to go home. I can't find an apt w the ssdi that I make @ $700 mth. I love my mom, but I'm literally sick over this.help?

Hi,

I'm sorry, but the only way that I can try to help people is by answering Social Security questions. You are probably already drawing all of the Social Security and/or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) for which you are eligible, but you may want to check with Social Security to see if a change in your living arrangements would affect your SSI rate.

There are also other public assistance programs designed to help people in need, such as the food stamp (SNAP) program and housing assistance. You may want to check with your nearest Dept. of Social Services to see if you could qualify for any additional benefits. You also may want to check on HUD's website for information on housing assistance in your area: https://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?src=/states.

Best, Jerry
