My mom is rec social security and when the stimulus cks go out, will she need to have direct deposit?? Shes 94...

Hi,

I'm sorry, but my expertise is limited to Social Security benefits, so I'm unable to answer questions regarding the stimulus payments that were recently authorized by congress.

How Can I Get Social Security To Correct My Son's Benefit Rate?

My husband and I are both permanently disabled. Our kids get ss from my record because I make more than he does. My daughter aged out 7/19 when she graduated high school. We were on the family max benefit. I called SS hotline and was told my son would be receiving half of hers added to his as of 8/19. We never heard anything so in December we went to the local SS office and they told us that was not true. So why would they tell us it would? Also both kid's COLA for 2019 way entered wrong and they got 802 instead of 824 as the 2019 cola stated.

Why Am I Getting Less In My Social Security Check?

Why am I getting $306 less a month in my SS check. I am 72 years old

Hi,

I'm sorry, but I have no way of knowing why your payment amount changed. Social Security sends notices in the mail to inform people of the reason for any changes in their payment amounts, so if you didn't receive such a notice you'll probably want to contact Social Security to ask for an explanation.

Will My Monthly Income Stay The Same If I Get Married?

I Live near Atlanta, Ga. and am 55 years old and on permanent disability... have been for 19 years. Left brain injury, PTSD, Post concussive syndrome. The Girl I'm dating is 66 and currently employed in Florida. Will my monthly income check stay the same, drop, do anything If I get married? She is obviously single and plans on working until 70, still working on that part. She talked to an SS agent, he gave her a number as to what she would receive at 70. We weren't talking about marriage then but are now. Will the number he gave her being single, change if she is married?

Are Social Security Recipients Going To Recieve An Additional $200 Monthly Under The Economic Package?

Under the economic package, are social security recipients going to receive an additional $200.00 monthly. This is in addition to the $1200.00 per person.

This was something that Warren has suggested.

Hi,

No, they aren't. The coronavirus relief act (H.R. 748) passed by congress does not include any changes to Social Security benefits.
