Will Social Security Replace My Past Zero Earnings With What I'm Currently Making?

Hi Larry.. i am 67 (born in 1953) I have applied for spousal benefits. I am currently working at the highest pay ever. I have past quarters that are 0. Does social security fill in those 0 quarters with what im currently making/contributing now even tho i am of full retirement age?

What Happens To All Of The Money I Paid In To Social Security If I Just Receive Widow's Benefits?

I am 70 and still work full time. My husband died recently. I will be getting his SS money, however I was receiving my SS money also and pay into it from my paycheck. SS told me I can't get both, but what about all the money I've already paid into it and still do from my paycheck?

Hi,

I'm sorry for your loss.

What Social Security told you is correct. No one can be paid more than one full Social Security benefit at the same time. If you're entitled to more than one benefit, you can only be paid the higher of the two benefit amounts.

Can I Receive Unemployment And Social Security Benefits At The Same Time?

Can I receive unemployment benefits monies and my social security benefits at the same time

Hi,

My expertise is limited to Social Security benefits. I can tell you that if you receive unemployment benefits it would have no effect on any Social Security benefits for which you might be eligible. However, I'm not sure if the reverse is true.

Should I Engage An Attorney?

Hi Larry,
My common-law wife died in December 2019 in Texas where we both resided for more than 20 years.

We we never had a formal marriage arrangement, but had been together for about 15 years. She was a Catholic, and didn't believe in divorce. Her estranged husband, whom she had not seen in 20 years, preceded her in death 4 years before her demise.

She left a will, executed shortly before her death, naming me as her husband and sole heir. Her death certificate lists me as "husband".

How Much Will I Owe In General?

My father passed away in March and they stopped giving the money he gets from social security in April. Whatever he had left in his account was transferred into mine his account was under my name. Since he was unable to go to the bank due to his condition. I’m asking they deduct a reclamation of the same amount he got monthly. I wanna if that’s gonna be a monthly payment or that’s how much I will owe in general

Am I Eligible For Unemployment Insurance?

Hi, I am on SSDI, I work part time. Since the covid 19 outbreak I have had my hours cut drastically. Sometimes I have 8 days off then one day on, then 8 more days off. Am I eligible for unemployment insurance? Thank you

Hi,

I'm sorry, but my expertise is limited to Social Security benefits so I'm not able to answer questions about unemployment insurance. However, I can tell you that if you do qualify for unemployment insurance, it would have no adverse effect on your Social Security disability (SSDI) benefits.
