Shouldn't My Past Due Medicare Premium Amount Be Lower?

Hello,
I signed up for SS benefits for Dec. 2021 with first check in Jan 2022. Started Medicare Nov 1,2021. Got a letter saying they are deducting past- due Medicare premiums of $764.10 from my Jan check. And the letter says we withheld $170.10 for med insurance premiums from the Jan payment. If I just started Medicare Nov 1, shouldn't just $148.50x2 be withheld for past-due, not $764.10? I'm not subjuecto IRRMA. Thank you.

How Will Social Security Pay Me The Money They Owe Me For Back Prescription Coverage?

SOCIAL SECURITY OWES ME 40 DOLLARS FOR BACK PRESCRIPTION COVERAGE. WILL IT COME IN A CHECK OR DIRECT DEPOSIT?

Hi. If you've authorized Social Security to withhold your Part D Medicare premiums from your Social Security benefit payments and if your benefits are paid by direct deposit, then any premium refunds made by Social Security would also be paid by direct deposit.

When I Start Drawing My Social Security Benefits Will I Automatically Be Enrolled In Medicare Part A?

I am 69 yrs, 2 months. I am still working and I am using my employer's health insurance, with a high deductible plan and an HSA. When I turn 70 in August, 2022 I intend to begin collecting social security benefits, but to continue working and to stay on my current health care plan (not Medicare). I also would like to continue contributing to my HSA. My question is: When I start my social security benefits, will that automatically enroll me in Part A of medicare, and will that prevent me from contributing to my HSA?

How Do I Get My Part B Medicare Coverage Back?

I had Medicare part A and B, When i moved i lost my part B coverage. How can i get this back?

Hi. Medicare is a federal program, so you shouldn't have lost your Part B coverage simply because you moved. You also don't mention your age, so I can't even hazard a guess as to why your Part B coverage may have ended nor what options you'd have for getting it back.

What Do I Do To Get My Medicare Premium Refund?

I paid for May and June 2021 Medicare Part B premiums via Easy Pay system. However, I started receiving my monthly SS benefits in May (having reached age 70), and again my Part B premiums were deducted for May and June. SSA "automatically" paid me back for May, but they never paid me back for June. I have called SSA three times to try to get my June payment refund. I have written TWICE to SSA to ask for the refund; no answer, no response, no refund. This "automatically will be paid back" scenario is not working for June. What do I do? Who do I contact?

Why Haven't I Received My $144 Per Month After Cancelling Part B?

I canceled my part B last year in September and I still didn’t receive my 144 per month

Hi. If you submitted your Part B cancellation in September of 2020 then your Part B coverage should have been terminated effective November 1 2020. So, Social Security should have stopped withholding your Part B premiums beginning with the Social Security benefit payment you received in November 2020.
