Last week my County insurance was severed because s.s.i. was $16 over the acceptable amount. Yesterday, my food stamps were cut from $168 to $16. Sometime last year my account went over $1200.
I had cancer surgery 11/24/16, take anti seizure, anxiety and depression meds. Is there any way signing up for S.S.D. I. could help? This is an impossible situation!

My first question is, although I was unemployed for over a year and a half before I attempted to try working again 2/17 to March 10th 2017 while waiting to hear back about my initial decision on my disability application 6/2016, will this screw me?

I've read your book "Get What's Yours" and i have some questions on how to proceed. have been receiving Social Security Disability benefits for the past 6 years starting at age 60; I will be 66 in June. I went to my Social Security office to withdraw my Social Security benefit before my Disability benefit converts to the Social Security Retirement Benefit in June. So, I filed the form 521 to withdraw.

Neither. If you are receiving Social Security disability benefits (SSDI), your benefit rate won't change when you turn age 62. Barring a change in your status, you will continue to receive SSDI until you reach full retirement age. At that time, your disability benefits will convert to regular Social Security retirement benefits at the same monthly rate as your SSDI.

Hi, I'm a lawyer working on a child custody case. The mother is on SSDI, and we think it's possible her desire for custody stems from an attempt to increase her benefits somehow. We are wondering if it's possible to include in the settlement agreement or court order that the mother may not apply for additional benefits or has to waive part of the benefits she's already getting?

last few years have health issues inconsistent to work briefly mentioning my health issue. In 2011 I got multiple strokes and hospitalized for while in that duration received SSA disability benefits till April 2014 after that joined in work till sept 2106.
Now I am decided to take retirement my present age is 59 years.
if I take retirement now will benefits right away?

Hi, I started getting disability in 2010. My husband died, then I got Widow's Benefits. Now, I just turned 62 years old. I have not worked since age 33. However, prior to age 33 I did work 13 years. My question is this: Since I am getting Widow's Benefits can I get extra money now that I turned age 62? Thank you, Stormy
