Would My Fiance Lose Any Of His Benefits If We Get Married?

Ok I asked about my remarry an if I would lose any of my benefits at my age of 67. I forgot to ask if my fiance would lose any of his benefits at his ass ge of 68. I know I have a higher amount of Social Security than he does with my widow's benefits. So does he lose his benefits or even part of it ? Thank You

Hi,

No. Since you and your fiancé are both over age 60, your getting married would have no adverse affect on any type of Social Security benefits that either of you currently receives, assuming that neither of you receive disabled adult child's benefits on a parent's record.

Best, Jerry
