Would I Be Eligible For Spousal Benefits?

Good evening Larry I am 67 I started my disability ss at age 60 I have been married two years my social security is 884 an let’s say his is 1200.00 what would I get in spousal benefits? Thanks in advance

Hi. It doesn't sound like it. A person's full Social Security disability (SSDI) benefit amount is equal to their primary insurance amount (PIA), and your PIA would have to be less than half as much as your husband's PIA in order for you to be eligible for spousal benefits. Based on the amounts listed in your question your PIA is apparently more than half as much as your husband's PIA, meaning that you couldn't qualify for spousal benefits as long as your husband is still living.

Best, Jerry
