When Would My Wife Become Eligible For Spousal Benefits?

MY wife is 65 and does not qualify on her own for SSA. I will turn 62 in May. Can my wife collect spousal benefits on my record and does she have to wait until I reach full retirement age?

Hi,

Your wife can't get spousal benefits until you start receiving your benefits, but she can start drawing as soon as you do, even if you take you take reduced benefits prior to your full retirement age.
