When I Turn 62 Will I Get A Retirement Check If I'm Already Getting Disability?

When i turn 62 do i get a retirement check i ready get one for disability

Hi,

No, assuming that you mean you are currently receiving Social Security disability (SSDI) benefits. Collecting SSDI is basically the same as being paid your full retirement age (FRA) Social Security retirement benefits early. You can't be paid both SSDI and Social Security retirement benefits at the same time. Therefore, nothing will change when you reach age 62, but when you reach FRA your SSDI benefits will automatically convert to regular Social Security retirement benefits at the same rate.

Best, Jerry
