When Can I Get Widow's Benefits?

Im 48 and I lost my late hubby 5 yrs ago ..I get his retirement but when and what age can I get widower benefits

Hi,

I'm sorry for your loss.

Social Security widow(er)'s benefits can be paid as early as age 60, or age 50 if the widow(er) is disabled. However, to get full widow(er)'s benefits you would need to wait until your full retirement age, which is 67 in your case.

Best, Jerry
