What Are Your Thoughts On The Social Security Bills Currently Being Considered In Congress?

Seeing that HR 6489 of the 114th Congress died, What are your thoughts on the 115th Congress's HR 1218, HR 1205, and HR 1631?

Hi,

I'm sorry, but I'm not really familiar with any of those proposals. Numerous bills proposing major and minor changes to Social Security are introduced during every Congressional session, but very few go beyond the committee level. For example, I believe that bills proposing repeal of the WEP and GPO provisions have been submitted in virtually every session of Congress for the last 30+ years, but none have been successful. So, given the track record I personally don't choose to take the time to try to familiarize myself with most of the bills introduced in Congress unless they start to receive serious attention.

Hats of to you for your passion on the subject, though.

Best, Jerry
