Is There Any Way For Me To Get Benefits From My Husband's Or My Ex-Husband's Account?

I started my benefits at 62 and my amount is very little. My husband gets around 2 thousand 25 . per month. Is there anyway to draw more using his or my x husbands?

You couldn't draw benefits from an ex-spouse's record if you're currently married, unless your ex is deceased and you remarried at age 60 or later. You could apply for spousal benefits on your current husband's record, but you'll only qualify for benefits from his account if 50% of his primary insurance amount (PIA) is higher than your own PIA. A person's PIA is equal to the amount of their Social Security retirement benefit if they start drawing at full retirement age (FRA).
