Should I Expect A Refund From Medicare?

I directly paid my three month premium to Medicare in October 2020 which included the January 2021 premium. During open enrollment I elected an Advantage Plan with the buy back option. My prover paid the January 2021 premium in addition to me paying it. Should I expect a refund from Medicare?

Hi,

Social Security automatically refunds duplicate Medicare premium payments when they're withheld from a person's Social Security benefits, but I don't have any experience with Medicare Advantage plans and or their buy back process. If you don't receive a refund within 60 days, I would suggest following up with Social Security or your Medicare Advantage provider.

Best, Jerry
