I had Medicare part A and B, When i moved i lost my part B coverage. How can i get this back?
Hi. Medicare is a federal program, so you shouldn't have lost your Part B coverage simply because you moved. You also don't mention your age, so I can't even hazard a guess as to why your Part B coverage may have ended nor what options you'd have for getting it back.
Assuming that you still meet the requirements for Medicare, though, you must be in an enrollment period to re-enroll in Part B of Medicare. And, unless you have health insurance coverage through either your or your spouse's employment, then you would likely need to wait for a general enrollment period (GEP) to apply for re-enrollment. GEPs occur every year from January 1st through March 31st, and if you enroll for Part B in a GEP your Part B coverage starts effective with July 1st of the year of your enrollment.
That said, without access to your records I can't properly advise you regarding your options. You should definitely contact Social Security so that they can look up your records and tell you what steps you'll need to take to get back on Part B of Medicare.
Best, Jerry
