On the other hand, Social Security disability (SSDI) benefits are not needs based so income from sources other than a person's own work and earnings normally don't affect SSDI benefits.

Therefore, if what your husband has been receiving is SSI, then a change in your income could cause his benefits to stop. However, if what he's been receiving is SSDI, then a change in your income wouldn't affect those benefits.
