Is My Wife Eligible To Receive Any Compensation From My Social Security Disability?

I started receiving social security disability in 2002. I got married five years ago. as a dependent working part time is my wife eligible to receive any compensation? she just turned sixty.

Hi,

In order to be eligible for spousal benefits on your account, your wife would either need to be at least age 62 or have a child in her care who is either under age 16 or disabled and qualifies for benefits on your record (https://www.ssa.gov/OP_Home/handbook/handbook.03/handbook-0305.html).

Best, Jerry
