All I can really tell you is that eligibility for VA benefits has no effect on Social Security disability benefits (SSDI). So, assuming that what you're receiving is SSDI and not Supplemental Security Income (SSI), which is a needs based benefit, your Social Security benefits will not be affected if you become eligible benefits from the VA.
