How Long Will My Railroad Benefits Continue?

How long can I draw my deceased ex husbands Railroad pension?

Hi,

I'm not an expert on Railroad Retirement benefits, but if you're drawing a divorced spousal benefit based on age and your ex is a retired railroader, then I'm almost certain that your benefits would continue for as long as you live unless you marry someone else or you become entitled to higher Social Security or Railroad Retirement benefits on your own or someone else's record. At least that's how Social Security works. You might want to check with the Railroad Retirement Board to be sure, though.

Best, Jerry
