How can I increase my SSI benefits before the age of 45? I would like to know this because I want to have my own savings account and with the small income that I have, I have an overpayment of $83. Also, I have lines of credit, groceries, and money that I can save for other accounts. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

SSI (Supplemental Security Income) is a needs based benefit, so there is no good way of increasing your payment amount. The maximum federal payment amount is currently $733, but can be less if the recipient has other income or receives non-cash support, such as free room and board. There is also a $2000 limit on resources, so you really can't build up much of a savings account and remain eligible.
