Do You Know Why I Was Paid On A Different Day Recently?

I have been receiving SSI benefits since 2016 always receiving my payment on the 4th Wednesday of the month. I have had two payments recently, be paid earlier in the month and on a different day. Would you know the reason? I have never received a letter from SSI stating there would be a change. Thank you

Hi. Assuming you haven't recently applied for a different type of Social Security benefit, then no I don't know why you were paid early. Sometimes people get adjustment payments caused by benefit recalculations, and those non-scheduled payments can come at any time of the month. If you call Social Security they should be able to look up your records and give you an explanation.

Best, Jerry
