Do I Lose RR Retirement If I Remarry?

Do I loose his RR retirement if I remarry. My husband worked for the BNRR for 35 years and passed away at the age of of 68 1/2, 5 1/2 years ago., the man I am dating is 77 years old, I would not qualify for any of his retirement until we were married 10 years.

Hi,

I'm sorry, but I'm not an expert or Railroad Retirement benefits and can't properly answer your question. You'll probably need to direct your question to the Railroad Retirement Board. You should be able to find your nearest office on their website: https://www.rrb.gov/index.php/Field-Office-Locator.

Best, Jerry
