Can My Social Security Credits Be Transferred To My Railroad Pension?

i went on a railroad occupational disability in 2006 (after 29 years).i have a part time job making 9000 a year and i m having social security taking out. Could those social security credits be transferred to my railroad retirement disabilty pension? i was born in 1955

Hi,

My expertise is limited to Social Security benefits, and not Railroad Retirement (RR) benefits. I do know that the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) can use your Social Security covered earnings to calculate Tier 1 RR benefits, but I don't know if that would have any effect the benefits you receive. You'll probably need to direct your question to an RRB employee.

Best, Jerry
