Am on social security disability am 61 and now my husband retired when can I get spoiler support. Or my money.
Hi. By "support" I assume you're referring to spousal benefits. If your husband is collecting either Social Security disability (SSDI) or retirement benefits and unless you have a child in your care who's eligible for benefits on your husband's account, the earliest that you could potentially qualify for spousal benefits is at age 62. However, you'll only qualify for spousal benefits if your husband's primary insurance amount (PIA) is more than twice as much as your PIA. A person's PIA is equal to their Social Security retirement benefit rate if they start drawing their benefits at full retirement age (FRA), or their full SSDI benefit rate. And, if you do qualify for spousal benefits and if you start drawing them prior to FRA, your spousal rate will be reduced for age.
Best, Jerry
