Can I Collect Unemployment?

My job (rif) is going away the end of June. I am 74 years old collect social security as well as my income in order to continue to pay for my house and bills. Can I collect unemployment? I do have a PERS 2 retirement plan and currently collect $1424 each month. I've been working since I was 18 took about 6 years to have kids and then went back to work part time when they went to school. I am divorced and live along(except for my cat) and I'm worried about my small savings and retirement if my social security is reduced. Can I collect unemployment? Thanks for your response. GG

Hi GG,

I'm sorry, but I'm unable to answer your question. My expertise is limited to Social Security benefits, not unemployment insurance.

Best, Jerry
