Can I Calculate My Age 70 Benefit Rate Online?

When I reached FRA I filed a restricted application to receive spousal benefits so my own benefit could grow until I reach age 70. Now, as I look at my account on the Social Security web site, it looks like I can no longer generate a statement or do an application. I have found a prior answer that tells me I must go to an office or call to switch to my own benefit. But what I don't know is how to find out what my age 70 benefit would be. Is it possible to do this online? Thanks very much.

Hi,

Social Security's website won't allow you to calculate a projected benefit rate if you've already filed for benefits, so you won't be able use their website to determine your age 70 rate. You could use our software to calculate your retirement benefit rate, or you could try calling or visiting a Social Security office to see if they'd be willing to provide you with that information.

Best, Jerry
