Am I Entitled To Any Of My Husband's Military Pension?

I am 82 yrs of age. My husband (age 83) and I have been retired for over 20 yrs. He received military retirement and I receive a pension from my school work (secretarial) of over 20 years. Am I entitled to any or part of his military pension now or when he has passed (if he dies before me)?

Hi,

I'm sorry, but Social Security is my only area of expertise and I know very little about military and VA pensions. The only thing that I can tell you is that if you do receive a military/VA pension based on your husband's service it won't affect any Social Security benefits that you receive.

Best, Jerry
