ANTECENDENT CAUSE: acute myocardial infarction
UNDERLYING CAUSE: Hypertensive cardiovascular disease; diabetes mellitus type 2.
i will ask if im eligible to get benefits of VA DISABILITY?

Hi,

I'm sorry for your loss.

I can't tell you whether or not you might qualify for VA benefits because my expertise is limited to Social Security benefits. With regard to Social Security benefits, it doesn't sound likely that you could qualify for widow's benefits. You must normally have been married for at least 9 months to meet the duration of marriage requirement for Social Security widow's benefits (https://www.ssa.gov/OP_Home/handbook/handbook.04/handbook-0401.html). However, you still may qualify for a one-time death benefit of $2550 from Social Security. You may want to contact Social Security to see about applying for that benefit.

Best, Jerry
