Can I Work And Still Get Benefits?

l just applied for my widows benefits my first check is Apil 2017 can i still work and how much can l make will it effect my check

Hi,

If you're full retirement age (i.e. 66) or older, there is no limit on your earnings. Assuming that you are younger than that, in order to be due all of your benefits you will have to limit your earnings to either a) no more than $16,920 for the calendar year of 2017, or b) no more than $1,410 in any month for which you're entitled to benefits. If you exceed those limits and aren't yet full retirement age, you'll lose some or all of your benefits.
