Can I Lose My Benefits In The Next 6 Months?

I asked you a question months ago and you never answered my email. Can I lose my social security benefits within the next 6 months? I am 70 years old my birthday is 8-30-45. I get $1,303 per month my only income. The state pays my medicare premium, the social security department gives me extra help for my drugs.

Thank you,
Sharon

Hi Sharon,

Nothing in the Social Security regulations has changed which would affect your continuing entitlement to benefits. In theory, your benefits could be suspended if you were incarcerated for a crime, or if you moved to certain countries, for example, but unless there is some type of unusual circumstance that you didn't mention, your Social Security benefits should continue indefinitely.

Best, Jerry
