How Can I Get An Adjustment And Update My Check?

I've been collecting s.s. for 17 yrs. now can I get an adjustment and update my check which is 1200.dollars a mo.

Hi,

Unless you've had earnings since you started drawing benefits, you probably aren't eligible for any change in your benefit rate. If you have had earnings since you filed, you could submit a written request to Social Security asking for a manual recomputation of your benefit rate. Your rate would only go up, though, if you had one of more years since you started drawing in which you earned more than you did in any of the highest 35 years previously used to calculate your benefit rate (https://www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10070.pdf).

Best, Jerry
