Does Social Security Stop Doing SS Statements Once You Start Benefits?

Dear Mr. Larry,
I am 65 and plan to take my SS next year at FRA. I view my SS statement every month on the SSA website. I read another post on your website where someone said they could no longer see their SS statement after they started SS at age 70. My question is, does the SSA quit doing SS statements once you start benefits, even at FRA? If so, do you get some kind of a notice or statement online or in the mail showing your new benefit amount each year for COLA increases?
Thanks, Wilbert

Hi Wilbert. Yes, my Social Security's website states that they don't provide online benefit estimates to people who are already receiving benefits regardless of when they start drawing their benefits (https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/). But, yes, Social Security does send notices to people who are receiving benefits to inform them of any changes in their benefit rate, including cost of living (COLA) increases.

Before deciding when to start your benefits, you may want to strongly consider using our software (https://maximizemysocialsecurity.com/purchase) to fully analyze the options available to you in order to determine your best strategy for maximizing your benefits.

Best, Jerry.
