The only way that you could get divorced spousal benefits from a living ex-spouse's record is if they are either collecting Social Security retirement or disability benefits, or if they are at least age 62. You would also need to be unmarried and be at least age 62 or have an eligible child in your care (https://www.ssa.gov/OP_Home/handbook/handbook.03/handbook-0311.html)..
If your ex-spouse dies and was insured for Social Security benefits then you could potentially qualify for survivor benefits as early as age 60, or as early as age 50 if you're disabled (https://www.ssa.gov/OP_Home/handbook/handbook.04/handbook-0403.html).
