Payment Dates

Why Did My Payment Date Change?

I get my disability check from from the SSA
On the 4th Wednesday of the month for the last 4 years. This month with no warning and no reason on the third of the month. I like it better it fits my financial situation better. My worry is will it come this month on the 3rd or will I have to wait almost 2 months till the 4th Wednesday of the following month. If it's the latter I will miss my rent and basically starve to death.

Will My Payment Arrive Early Because Of The New Year Holiday?

hi i am on ss and medicare and medicaid through pennsylvania....i receive my checks on the 3rd of each month. will it be earlier this year because of the new years holliday?

Hi. No. January 3rd 2022 isn't a holiday and falls on a Monday, so people who are normally paid on the 3rd of the month should get their payments on Monday January 3rd (https://www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10031-2022.pdf).

Best, Jerry

Will My Payment Date Change?

I've been getting my ssi payments on the 3rd day of the month. Will that payment date change? From what i've read as long as I'm over 65 (71 here) there shouldn't be a payment date change wondering how correct that is.

Hi. There haven't been any changes in Social Security's regulations regarding payment dates since 1997, so I don't know of any reason why your payment date would be changing.

Why Are They Messing With Payment Dates?

Why are they going to mess with pay dates on my SSI . I get it the 1st of month. Why do I have wait another 3 weeks. Is this date going to be permanent deposit dates? All of my bills are due on 1st I will be be given a 3 day notice. And electric shut off. I need mine to be deposited on 1st

Hi. Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments will continue to be paid on the 1st day of each month. So, if you receive SSI payments your payment date will not change.

Which Payment Date Prevails If A Person Is Drawing Their Own Benefits And Later Gets Excess Spousal Benefits?

Re: Payment dates
I know that Social Security payment dates are based on date of birth. However I have never seen a direct answer to how the date is determined if you are getting benefits based on two different work histories. If a person receives benefits based upon their work history and then later gets excess spousal benefits which payment day would prevail? theirs or the spouses?
