Why Are They Messing With Payment Dates?

Why are they going to mess with pay dates on my SSI . I get it the 1st of month. Why do I have wait another 3 weeks. Is this date going to be permanent deposit dates? All of my bills are due on 1st I will be be given a 3 day notice. And electric shut off. I need mine to be deposited on 1st

Hi. Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments will continue to be paid on the 1st day of each month. So, if you receive SSI payments your payment date will not change.

Social Security benefits, on the other hand, are paid either on the 3rd day of the month, or the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Wednesday of the month depending on the worker's birth day. The law governing Social Security benefit payment dates has not changed since 1997. The following Social Security website explains how payment dates are determined: https://faq.ssa.gov/en-us/Topic/article/KA-01957.

Best, Jerry
