Will I Be Able To Apply For Divorced Spousal Benefits?

Hi Larry I would like to ask. Will I be able to apply for spouse. Spouses. From my husband social security. Benefits and can collect from. ex husband benefits he passed on

My ex husband died 6 years go. My youngest daughter. Never collected from father since the age 15 he never gave her a. Dime she. 44 and on disability. He abandons her

Hi. You need to have been married for at least 10 years in order to potentially qualify for surviving divorced spousal benefits. If your daughter became disabled prior to age 22, then she may be able to qualify for disabled adult child's (DAC) benefits.

There's not enough information in your questions for me to be able to give you much advice, so you should probably contact Social Security to see if you and/or your daughter might be eligible for any survivor benefits.

Best, Jerry
