Why Must We Pay Medicare Every Three Months?

Why do we have to pay Medicare every three months??? It's a real hardship

Hi. People who enroll in optional Part B of Medicare who aren't collecting monthly Social Security benefits are billed on a quarterly basis (https://www.medicare.gov/your-medicare-costs/how-to-pay-part-a-part-b-pr...). There is no option for paying premiums monthly unless you start collecting Social Security benefits, in which case your Part B premiums would be withheld from your regular monthly benefit payments.

Best, Jerry
