How Can I Find Out If I Can Get More Disability Money?

I have been receiving Social Security Disability since 2006. My check right now is about $1100. How can I find out if I can get more disability money. I am now widowed and the extra money would really help.
I also receive a Survivor's benefit from my husband. Also his pension and a life insurance annuity.

Hi,

You can check with Social Security, but it sounds like you're probably getting all of the Social Security benefits to which you're currently entitled, unless you had another marriage and could receive a higher benefit rate on their record. However, if you are below full retirement age and you became entitled to widow's benefits after you started drawing disability benefits, your benefit rate may increase when you reach your full retirement age.

Best, Jerry
