Can My Grandson Get Benefits On My Record?

I am a retired police officer on SSDI. I am legal guardian of my 10 yr old grandson.
My wife works as a nurse.
My chldren collected a small benefit on my SSDI until they passed the age requirement and were dropped.
Can my grandson get the same monthly benefit as my kids did, and/or is there a benefit I can receive as his guardian/provider?
Thanks

Hi,

Grandchildren can only qualify for child's benefits on a grandparent's record if they are adopted by the grandparent, or if both of the grandchild's natural parent's are either disabled or deceased. I don't know of any other benefits to which your grandson may be entitled, although you may want to check with the Social Services office in your area.

Best, Jerry
